AI Solutions & Customer Success Engineer (f/m/d)

As an AI Solutions & Customer Success Engineer, you will be the bridge between our customers and the GenAI Data Connect platform. GenAI Data Connect (GAIDC) is a central AI platform operated by DB Systel that makes Deutsche Bahn data available for generative AI applications. The service links state-of-the-art language models with internal documents and knowledge sources, enabling the generation of reliable, context-sensitive responses based on DB data. You will help users successfully adopt Generative AI solutions, translate business requirements into technical capabilities, and ensure a seamless onboarding experience. At the same time, you will contribute to the evolution of our platform by bringing customer insights back into product development and supporting the integration of enterprise data into modern AI solutions.

We are looking for you to join us as an AI Solutions & Customer Success Engineer (f/m/d) at the earliest possible date for DB Systel GmbH, based in Berlin, Erfurt, or Frankfurt am Main.

Deine Aufgaben:

• Guide customers through the GAIDC trial, onboarding, and adoption journey by providing expert technical advice and hands-on support
• Partner closely with sales teams to present technical solutions, understand customer requirements, and demonstrate how GAIDC can address business challenges
• Act as the voice of the customer by identifying pain points, gathering feedback, and translating insights into actionable improvements for product and engineering teams
• Create tutorials, enablement materials, best practices, and marketing content that help increase awareness and adoption of GAIDC across the organization
• Ensure documentation remains accurate, well-structured, consistently tagged, and up to date
• Build trusted customer relationships by leveraging excellent German and English communication skills in both technical and non-technical discussions
• Design and implement scalable data integration solutions within the Azure ecosystem to support AI-driven use cases and large-scale data ingestion
• Configure, operate, and optimize secure data connectors, databases, and integrations while supporting testing, validation, and ongoing maintenance activities

Dein Profil:

• A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a related field; alternatively, completed vocational IT training combined with relevant professional experience
• Several years of experience developing ML and AI-enabled applications, including model integration, validation, traceability, and production deployment
• Strong programming expertise in Python and practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally using Bicep, Terraform, or similar technologies
• Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS, preferably within data, analytics, or AI environments
• Familiarity with modern AI ecosystems and frameworks, including Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, LangChain, LiteLLM, or comparable agentic frameworks
• Experience working with databases and data platforms, including MySQL, NoSQL technologies, vector databases, and large-scale data integration architectures
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices and associated technologies such as GitLab CI / CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, Bash, monitoring solutions (OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus), and agile methodologies such as Kanban
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, a proactive learning mindset, and excellent communication skills in German and English, combined with a passion for teamwork and technical ownership in the rapidly evolving field of Generative AI
